When the YouTuber and bicycle influencer “Gaëtan Cyclo Voyage” announced himself in Ténarèze, the team of the Tourist Office put together a special day to discover the land and the pleasures is on a bicycle. The young man, based in Gironde, shares his adventures and travels in the saddle, in France and around the world on social networks and on his channel through knowledge videos (site -web: Cyclo Voyage avec Gaëtan). “We organized with him a bicycle tour of about 50 km over the whole Ténarèze, going and coming from Condom, during the day, and he invited his “followers”, the people who follow his events on their social networks,” explained Alexandra Bulfoni, stay creator at the Ténarèze Tourist Office.
The aim of the day was to promote cycling in the region and on the land, whilst highlighting local heritage. “We wanted to take part of the GR65, the Voie Verte de l’Armagnac and the Véloroute V82. Not forgetting to highlight our gastronomy. The lunch was held at the Montréal-du-Gers tourist office, where the participants had the opportunity to taste delicacies from our local producers: duck pâté and rillettes, flock cake … And a wine tasting, Floc de Gascogne and Armagnac! “. Alexandre Jarry, from Domaine Séailles de Mouchan, presented the grape varieties to today’s guests, but also the environmental approach of the estate, one of the first wine estates in the region that has turned to grow- rich. After crossing the Ténarèze and also discovering river tourism, the cyclists ended their tour in front of the statue of the Musketeers where a “100% Ténarèze” package filled with good tips and gourmet addresses to stay in the future, to give to each person before these will not be reborn at home, in Gironde, Haute-Garonne…”, explained Alexandra again. A delicious trip under the sun that should have pleased a given to the globe-trotting cyclist.
