In 2022, global smartphone sales reached 1.2 billion units, the lowest since 2013.

Of the leading brands, Apple’s sales declined the least, falling 4.4%. In the fourth quarter of 2022, iPhone sales were declining due to problems with the logistics of components, which were caused by workers’ protests at the Foxconn factory in Zhengzhou.
