India’s 400 million WhatsApp (Facebook Group) users will soon be able to pay for purchases or send money to each other through the mobile app as simply as they exchange messages. The National Payments Corp of India (NPCI), the body managing the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) in which more than 140 Indian banks participate, has given Whatsapp the green light.
