The Saudi Arabian government insists that it does not allow mosques to use external loudspeakers when performing prayers during Ramadhan 2022.
Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Islamic Affairs, Calls and Guidance Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Sheikh has denied reports that external loudspeakers will be allowed in mosques while offering prayers during the holy month of Ramadan.
Al-Sheikh said that what was circulating about this on social media platforms was untrue and unfounded.

2. Russian Troops Leave Chernobyl Taking Ukrainian Soldiers Hostage
Russian troops on Thursday (31/3/2022) vacated Ukraine’s Chernobyl nuclear power plant after weeks of occupying it.
However, they took a number of Ukrainian soldiers as hostages, authorities in Kyiv said.
“When they fled from the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, the Russian invaders took members of the National Guard, whom they had held hostage since February 24, with them,” state nuclear agency Energoatom said on Telegram.
