According to Cynosure Lutronic on the 28th, the two companies integrated their offices located in Westford, near Boston, Massachusetts, and began sales activities with commercial and back office management operations and a joint portfolio.
According to the company, integration work is also underway in the APAC (Asia Pacific) and EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) regions, including Korea. Last month, the European Laser & Science Symposium was held in Croatia to commemorate the official launch of the brand. An official global conference was also held in the United States. It has been six months since the merger announcement in April of this year.
Following North America and Europe, the APAC Summit, the first joint event in the Asia Pacific region, was recently held in Bangkok, Thailand. In this way, Cynosure Lutronic is progressing smoothly after the merger in major markets around the world.
Cynosure and Lutronic are companies that have each established a strong position in the industry for over 30 years. Last year, Hahn & Company acquired Lutronic for approximately 1 trillion won, and signed an acquisition agreement with Cynosure in January of this year, and the two companies began the merger process.
The merged company will become the world’s No. 1 energy-based medical device (EBD) company by recording sales of $500 million in 2023. The two companies plan to combine resources and technologies to create synergies in global markets such as the United States, Canada, Europe, Japan, and China.
The company introduced ‘XERF‘ as the merged company’s first product in May after the merger announcement. Serf is receiving positive reviews for pioneering a new category of premium dual monopolar high frequency. Serf concluded contracts for over 70 units within 100 days of launch and recently achieved cumulative sales exceeding 100 units.
A company official explained, “This is a result that clearly demonstrates the synergy effect of the merger of the two companies,” and added, “We are currently in the process of signing a contract in Japan and are planning to enter the U.S. market next year.”
The merged company is currently embarking on various joint projects to develop innovative products that concentrate its research and development (R&D) capabilities. Based on PicoSure’s technology, which is considered the highest level of laser equipment, we will not only expand our portfolio, but also present new products and services to our global customer base.
A company official said, “Cynosure Lutronic took its first step as a leading EBD company in the global aesthetics field by launching Cerf after its integration last April. Based on these achievements, we will smoothly complete the remaining merger process. “We plan to focus on providing better products and services through a diversified portfolio.”
