The director of the World Health Organization’s emergency preparedness program explained that with regard to the possibility of children being exposed to the Corona virus, it has been proven that the rate of Corona infections increased from February to July, and the increase in children from 5 to 14 years of age in general, in addition to the increase in infections in the age group. From 15 to 24 years old, stressing that the decision to return to study in light of Corona is made in coordination between health and education.
Samhouri confirmed that 30 vaccines have entered the clinical trial stage, explaining that the safety trials of Corona vaccines will continue, and it is expected that the appropriate and safest vaccine for use will be determined by the end of the year.
