Global Corona Update: 84.2 Million Positive, 1.8 Million People Died | UK Reactivate Covid-19 Emergency Hospital Page all

KOMPAS.com – Coronavirus pandemic that engulfed the world was not over yet. New cases of Covid-19 infection are still being reported.

Launch worldometers, Saturday (2/1/2021) at 05.30 WIB, the new type of corona virus has infected as many as 84,281,336 people around the world.

Of these, 59,591,523 people have been declared cured of infection and 1,833,435 people have died.

The five countries that reported the most cases of infection globally were as follows.

1. United States

The United States is the country with the most cases of corona virus infection in the world.

Positive confirmed cases of the corona virus in this country reached 20,572,813 cases, with 121,511 new cases daily.

The highest number of deaths globally is also in the US, with 355,935 people reportedly dying from infections.

Meanwhile, the country recorded that 12,158,538 people who tested positive for Covid-19 had recovered.

2. India

Following in second place, positive cases of Covid-19 in India also continued to creep up, with 17,080 new cases reported in the past day.

So far, in total there have been 10,303,409 cases of corona infection in India.

Of these, 9,901,929 people have been declared recovered and the virus has killed 149,205 people in the country.

3. Brazil

Brazil is in the third position of the country with the most cases of corona virus infection in the world.

The SARS-CoV-2 corona virus has infected 7,684,278 people in this country.

Of these, 6,747,065 people have recovered and 195,152 people have died due to Covid-19 infection.

4. Russia

The number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Russia continues to rise, making the country the fourth most infected case worldwide.

There were 27,039 new cases recorded daily, bringing the total positive confirmed cases in Russia to 3,186,336 cases.

Of the total cases of infection, 2,580,138 people have been declared recovered and 57,555 people have died.

5. France

In fifth place, France reported 2,639,773 positive cases of coronavirus infection, with 19,348 new cases in the past day.

Of the total positive confirmed cases, 194,221 people have been declared cured and there are still 2,380,787 active cases.

As many as 64,765 people died as a result of being infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus in France.

Britain reactivates the Covid-19 emergency hospital

Meanwhile, Britain reactivated the emergency hospital that was built at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic on Friday (1/1/2021).

In addition, elementary schools in London were closed in an effort to curb the spread of a new variant of the coronavirus in the country which is known to spread more rapidly.

“The education and welfare of children remains a national priority,” Education Secretary Gavin Williamson was quoted as saying Reuters, Saturday (2/1/2021).

The UK has registered more than 50,000 daily new cases of Covid-19 over the past four days.

The high number of new cases of corona infection has made health services prepare more beds.

Britain is battling a new wave of the virus that has ravaged the economy and killed more than 74,000 people in the country.

The Royal London Hospital has announced that it is currently in disaster treatment mode and unable to provide a high standard of critical care.

Meanwhile, Nightingale’s temporary hospital at a location like a conservation center that the military had built in a matter of days was alerted.

It said the intensive care units of three London hospitals were full on New Year’s Eve, forcing patients to be transferred to other hospitals for critical care.

“In anticipation of increasing pressure from the spread of new variant infections, the NHS London Region is asked to ensure Nightingale is reactivated and ready to admit patients if needed,” said a spokesman for the National Health Service (NHS).

The Royal College of Nursing warns that the country does not have sufficient history to administer new sites, especially with large numbers of people getting sick as a result of being infected with the virus or having to be isolated.

With regard to schools, the government should close all primary schools in the capital city after reviewing the level of transmission.
