Frankfurt/Main (dpa) – Eintracht Frankfurt’s head coach Oliver Glasner predicted a bright future for Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen and particularly praised the national player. “He’s one of the greatest German talents because he brings a lot – playfulness, goal risk, creativity, diligence. This is a player who will help shape the German national team in the next few years. It’s just a great player,” said Glasner about the 19th -year-old who is currently regaining his former strength after a serious injury.
When asked if it was a Mario Götze in young, Glasner joked: “I don’t know Mario in young.” The World Cup winning goalscorer from Rio 2014 only switched to Eintracht last summer at the age of 30 and has played a decent role ever since. On Saturday (3.30 p.m. / Sky) Leverkusen and Frankfurt meet in the Bundesliga. For both teams it is about entering the European Cup. In the past seven guest appearances in Leverkusen, Eintracht have not scored a point with a goal difference of 3:25.
