“Gladiator” Russell Crowe makes a large film studio in Australia

Australian actor Russell Crowe has announced his plan to set up a large film studio in Australia, AFP and DPA reported.

The studio will be in Coffs Harbor, between Sydney and Gold Coast. Russell Crowe lives not far away. His ambition is for the modern film studio to attract Hollywood actors and directors. Its construction will begin within a year.

“I’ve been thinking for several years about how I can move my job to where I live,” the 57-year-old actor told ABC television.

The total cost of the project will be about 440 million Australian dollars (338 million US dollars). It has not yet been approved, but is backed by local authorities.

Since the beginning of the Kovid-19 pandemic, Australia has been a popular filming location around the world because the country has successfully controlled the virus. There was a movie about Elvis starring Tom Hanks and the new movie from the series “Thor”. Julia Roberts and George Clooney will shoot a “Paradise Ticket” in Australia this year. /
