Connie Nielsen has confirmed a sequel to Gladiator, the successful and award-winning film from Ridley Scott from 2000, is still in the pipeline. The actress told Collider that she saw the project as a “totally different movie”.
It has been in the works for a while Gladiator 2. But when will that film actually go into production?
While Connie Nielsen, who played Lucilla in the original, doesn’t have a concrete answer, she knows the project is still under development.
“I know the project is still on the list, so now we have to wait and see when Ridley has time. I know he’s busy with one or two other movies, but then this project should be his turn. However, I do not know the exact statusNielsen said in an interview with Collider this week.
“Of course it would be great [als de film er komt]. I do think we should all look at it as a separate, different movie, but with some of the emotions and values that made Gladiator so strong for so many peopleshe continues.
