Gladbach: Nice coat! Video after the Borussia gala goes up in the net

Gladbach coach Daniel Farke not only saw nice moves from his team during the Bundesliga win against Bayern Munich on Saturday (February 18, 2023), but also gave a funny TV interview.

This three-second video on social media platform Twitter is going through the roof!

Responsible for this are the “ESPN” TV reporter Archie Rhind-Tutt and Daniel Farke (46), head coach of Borussia Mönchengladbach.

After the foal home gala (3:2) on Carnival Saturday (February 18, 2023) against record champions Bayern Munich, the two met for a TV interview in Borussia Park.

And Archie Rhind-Tutt was wearing the flashy, colorful reversible jacket that had already made the headlines for the British Isles and the English Yellow Press in recent months.

Now the colorful piece and its wearer have also made it into the limelight on the left bank of the Lower Rhine.

During the TV interview, Farke insisted on greeting Archie Rhind-Tutt with the words “Oh, nice coat”.

The TV reporter’s reaction: a shrill laugh.

Rhind-Tutt released this sequence as a short film on his Twitter account.

The shrill laugh, along with the jacket and Farke’s comment, are obviously going down on the internet.

Tens of thousands of users have now watched the video.

Farke, who has enjoyed an excellent reputation since his coaching position at Norwich City in England, not only revealed to the “ESPN” TV reporter that he thinks his flashy jacket is cool.

After the Bayern Munich coup, Farke said in perfect English about the loyal Gladbach fans, who would be only too happy to see their team storming back into the Euro Cup: “Of course I understand our fans. They are allowed to dream, to think of unrealistic things. That’s what football fans are all about. You are allowed to dream big. I also want to win every game and get the German championship.”

At the same time, he said: “For me as a club representative, it is also important to put things in perspective and to steer expectations in the right direction. Which is not always easy for a traditional club like Borussia Mönchengladbach. But we also have to be realistic. Of course I want our fans to really enjoy this win against Bayern Munich.”

Reality is: After the Bayern coup, Gladbach is one point behind in seventh place in the table before the 22nd Bundesliga matchday, which is very likely to be a European Cup ticket at the end of the season, i.e. entry into the UEFA Conference League would be enough.
