Giza Governorate revealed that the Drinking Water and Sewerage Company in Giza cut off water for 8 hours to some areas of Kerdasa, October and Desert Alexandria, starting from 10:00 pm today, Friday, corresponding to 5/12/2023, until 6:00 am, on Saturday, corresponding to 5/13/2023..

The governorate attributed the reason for the cut to the works related to diversions of water lines that conflict with a project MonorailNoting that within the framework of the National Authority for Tunnels carrying out the work of the monorail project within the national projects, the water line of 400 mm in diameter passing inside the central security zone conflicts with the construction rules of the monorail, which requires changing the route of the line, in addition to laying pipes for the drinking water line with a diameter of 200 mm for buildings. government on the Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road, which requires a water lock on the water line with a diameter of 800 mm on the Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road, kilo 5.10, to finish the connection work for the water line with a diameter of 200 mm referred to.

Giza Governorate indicated that the areas affected by the water cut are (Abu Rawash – Bani Majdoul – as a stack – Kilo 26 Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road to Kilo 28 Intermediate Chemicals – The entire Central Security Camp – Giza Security Directorate – Compounds (Energ – Newgiza – Mount View – Juice – West Hills – Mostakbal – Solia).
