Former Juve club boss Giuseppe Marotta, who is now pulling the strings at Inter Milan, takes on his ex-protégé Cristiano Ronaldo in an interview.
Looking back, the Italian is not satisfied with Ronaldo’s performances and results in the Juve jersey. The now 38-year-old played there between 2018 and 2021. “His signature did not bring the results he had hoped for,” says Marotta in the podcast “WOLF Storie che contano” and explains: “Let’s put it this way: his contribution does not match that , what was expected upon his arrival.”
Juve paid 105 million euros for the superstar in the summer of 2018. Ronaldo was actually supposed to help win the Champions League title. In his three years in Turin, CR7 and his teammates won two championship titles and two cup victories. There were no major international successes.
