Giulia Cecchettin, Coldiretti degree award in her memory to promote the culture of respect

A graduation award named after Giulia Cecchettin, to spread the culture of respect in all fields of research, work, economics and communication, it was promoted by the women of Coldiretti and the producers of Campagna Amica with the University of Padua. The initiative was presented today at the Coldiretti Padua headquarters in the presence of Gino Cecchettin e Andrea CamerottoGiulia’s father and uncle, with Valentina Galessohead of Coldiretti women.

Giulia is an example

“For me it is always painful to face all this – said Cecchettin – but I feel that I have a moral duty to do something, to act, because I understood that Giulia in her simplicity and in her love is an example for many. I want to try to help people like Giulia who have not been lucky enough to enjoy the independence and rights we are talking about on this occasion. The book is a first step towards carrying forward something concrete. With the foundation we are creating we want to provide training in schools and help the associations already present and operational”.

Transversal award

The award is “transversal” to embrace all the disciplines that allow the diffusion of the culture of respect, and is aimed at master’s theses in Economics, Sociology, Psychology and Law, but also other faculties, to support works that will highlight new approaches in different sectors, in the name of kindness. “We want to start from words to transform hatred into love – said Galesso – underlining terms such as respect, care, beauty. Words full of meanings, which refer to respectful, grateful and benevolent behavior , characterized by acts of generosity, consideration and assistance, of concern for others”.
