Journalist Giselle Khoury died this Sunday morning after a struggle with illness.
About her life
He was born in Al-Aqiba in Keserwan District in 1961.
I studied media at the Lebanese University.
She began her career in late 1985 on LBC as a preparer and presenter of cultural talk shows.
She joined the Arab media group “MBC” in 2002 and contributed to launching the 24-hour Al Arabiya news channel. She hosted a weekly political talk show on Al Arabiya from 2003 to 2013.
In 2009, she co-founded Al Rawi Productions, whose first project was a four-episode biography of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat.
In 2013, Khoury was appointed by BBC Arabic to present the program “The Scene”.
She was awarded the Knight of the French Legion of Honour.
She married doctor Elie Khoury and they had two children, Marwan and Rana.
She also married for the second time to journalist, writer, and historian Samir Kassir, and after his martyrdom she founded the “Kassir Foundation and the SKeyes Center for Media and Cultural Freedom.”
