His days are numbered. The skate-park of Bazas (Gironde), located in the Philippe-Lucbert space, very close to the swimming pool and the pediment, will disappear soon. The technical services of the city must, in fact, proceed with its dismantling.
Reason: it is, today, considered too dangerous for users.

So when should the structure be removed? According to our information, the final date has not yet been decided. But it should be done ” as soon as possible “, says the elected Bazadaise. While waiting for the operation to be completed, Danielle Barreyre invites users “to be very careful”.
Users who follow very closely the progress of the future skate-park, which should emerge at the end of 2022, instead of the old tennis courts, in Castagnolles.
Future skate-park: it’s progressing
The project, valued at € 150,000, is arousing the interest of young people in the sector. Wednesday 1is December, so many of them came to meet Jean-Baptiste Picot, from the Hall04 company. The project manager was thus able to present the first sketches of the future skate-park. This will be installed on a plot of 1,700 m2. The structure itself will span approximately 715 m2, of which more than 600 will be “skatable”. It can accommodate up to 20 people at the same time.
“Our goal,” recalls Jean-Baptiste Picot, “is to make it as attractive for beginners as for professionals. This should help bring emulation. “
The future skate park will host BMX
The future skate-park will have the shape of a triangle and will have several sliding modules, steps, ramps, etc. On the other hand, no bowl; understand a kind of bowl with rounded walls. Indeed, an element of this kind already exists in Langon. “The project is being built in conjunction with the other skate parks in the sector,” underlines Nicolas Serrière, elected Bazadais and member of the sports commission.
Danielle Barreyre, assistant, announces that a request has been made so that a club, bringing together BMX practitioners, can invest the premises.
