Catalan Girona are interested in Porto’s central midfielder Nico Gonzalezreports the Spanish publication Fichajes.
According to the source, Girona head coach Michel really likes the game of the 21-year-old footballer. He asks the club management to arrange the transfer in the winter.
Interestingly, Nico Gonzalez is a graduate of another Catalan team – Barcelona. He was in the club’s system from 2013 to 2023, playing 37 matches at senior level.
In the summer of 2023, Porto acquired Nico for 8.4 million euros, but so far the Spaniard has failed to become an important player for the Dragons. He has made just 17 appearances (538 game minutes) this season.
