The visitors missed the first penalty kick in the 28th minute, Berenguer’s shot against the post was caught by Argentine goalkeeper Gazzaniga. Soon after, Krejčí received a yellow card for fouling. In the 39th minute, home defender Gutiérrez ran into the opponent’s small area, but he let Asprill’s cross from the right fly unnoticed towards the goal and the ball ended up in the net. But Bilbao equalized in two minutes when Sancet overpowered Krejčí in a duel and finished from close range.
