Previously, from people’s news, Can Tho City Police suddenly checked Karaoke bar VT09 (Vinh Thanh town, Vinh Thanh district). Here, the functional force discovered 13 service staff, including 4 employees under 16 years old.
During the verification process, the Can Tho City Police had enough evidence to prove that the subjects had acts of trafficking in TNT victims (SN 2007, living in Tra Vinh province) when they were under 16 years old.
According to the investigation, in July 2022, when T. was working as an employee at the karaoke bar Quynh Huong (Trang Bang district, Tay Ninh province).
Due to a conflict with the staff in the shop, T. asked Nguyen Hoang Phong (SN 2004, living in Xuan Loc district, Dong Nai province) to find another place to work. Phong introduced T. to Dong Thi Be Hai (SN 1986, living in Vinh Thanh town, Vinh Thanh district) on the condition that he pays Phong 40 million dong.
The two agreed, so they asked Trinh Hue Hieu from Vinh Thanh to go to Tay Ninh to deliver 40 million VND to Phong and then bring T. to Karaoke VT09 and force him to work to pay the debt.
The Can Tho City Public Security Department issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and temporarily arrest Dong Thi Be Hai; prosecuted the accused, banned from leaving the place of residence for Trinh Hue Hieu (SN 1988, living in Vinh Thanh district) for the act of “trafficking in people under 16 years old”.
Particularly, Nguyen Hoang Phong was detained by the police before in a case of human trafficking under 16 years old in Co Do district, Can Tho city.
