The French castle has been in the possession of the Meiland family since 2019, but they have been living in the Netherlands for a while. The family has already completed two relocations within the Netherlands, but they are not going to lose their castle. Due to the corona crisis, no viewings could take place for a long time and still no buyer has been found.

At the beginning of this year, an investor was interested in the castle and made an offer. Unfortunately for the Meilandjes, he pulled out of the deal at the very last minute, so that the castle went up for sale again.

The Meilandjes previously announced that if the chateau really would not be sold within a short time, they would consider playing in the castle for another season. It is not clear whether they will now do so. Chances are they are way too busy shooting a new reality series.
