The vocalist of the pop group “Girls Aloud” has died of breast cancer. She was 39 years old. Sarah’s mother announced her death on Instagram.
“It is with great sadness that I announce to you that my beautiful daughter Sarah has died this morning. Many of you know about her battle with cancer and how she did not give up until her last day. Sarah was a brilliant star and I hope she will be remembered that way“, wrote the singer’s mother.
Last year, the singer publicly announced her battle with the forged disease, and at the time she had a lot of distractions on her body. She later said doctors told her she would probably not live to see next Christmas.
The star was adamant that she would fight the disease to the last, and during this time she wrote the memoir “Hear Me Out”, in which she tells details about her battle with the disease.
She also appealed to her followers on the social network not to postpone their annual check-ups with a mammologist, because if they are late, the outcome can be fatal.
“Girls Aloud” was formed in 2002 and quickly became one of the most successful girls’ pop groups in the UK. Seven years later, however, the group disbanded. During the time they are busy, the singers have released a total of 5 studio albums.
Nadine Coyle, one of Hardig’s colleagues, wrote on Instagram: “I have no words to express how I feel about this girl and what she means to me. I know many of you will feel this way“.
