She was part of one of the greatest bands of all time in Britain. Now she has died of cancer after a long illness, 39 years old. – She passed away peacefully this morning, her mother says.

The message comes on the pop star’s own Instagram-account.
“It is with deep sorrow in my heart that today I share the news that my beautiful daughter Sarah has sadly passed away,” writes the mother, whose name is Marie.
“Many of you know about Sarah’s fight against cancer and that she fought so hard from the time she was diagnosed until her last day,” she continues.
In August 2020, it became known that the artist had received breast cancer with spread.
In March this year reported Harding that she had moved home to her mother, and that it was uncertain how much time she had left.

Comforted by the support
The mother is very grateful for the support they have received over the past year.
“It meant the whole world to Sarah, and it gave her strength and comfort to know that she was loved. I know she did not want to be remembered for her fight against this terrible disease – she was a bright, sparkling star and I hope that is how she can be remembered instead. “
Girls Aloud never became a big phenomenon in Norway, nor globally, but in the UK the success was enormous.
All of the group’s first 20 singles were top 10 hits in the British Isles in the period 2002–2009; four of them went all the way to first place.

Since the news of the death became public has one flow of condolences from fans and colleagues filled the comment box for Harding’s Instagram account.
Former Spice Girls star Geri Halliwell, who now uses the name Geri Horner, condoles via her Twitter account.
– Rest in peace, Sarah Hardin. You will be remembered for the light and joy you brought to the world, she tweets.
Host and TV personality Fearne Cotton commented on the following:
