A girl opened fire this Thursday (05/06/2021) at a school in the northwestern state of Idaho, wounding two students and a janitor before being disarmed by a teacher, police said.

The girl “pulled a pistol out of her backpack, fired multiple rounds in and out of the school,” Jefferson County Sheriff Steve Anderson said.
The sheriff said the injuries sustained by two students and a school staff member are not life threatening. Idaho Falls Fire Department spokesperson Kerry Hammon said the three injured are stable.
