A child is hit by a vehicle while trying to cross the road in Ulm
On Friday afternoon a traffic accident occurred in Ettlentreib near Lonsee in which a child was injured. At around 12:45 p.m., a 7-year-old girl wanted to cross the street on Dorfstrasse.
Due to limited visibility due to waiting vehicles due to traffic and foggy weather conditions, she overlooked an approaching vehicle.
The 56-year-old driver had no chance to brake in time and hit the girl at low speed as she suddenly stepped onto the road. As a result of the impact, the child landed on the hood of the vehicle and then landed on the asphalt.
After initial examinations by the emergency services on site, the girl was taken to hospital for further treatment. In the end, fortunately, the girl was only slightly injured as she did not suffer any serious injuries other than bruises and abrasions.
