According to reports, a boy and a girl from the 5th and 6th grade choked a classmate until she lost consciousness after school. “Instead of other children calling her for help, they dragged her to a secret place,” wrote school director Ines Dohnkeová.

The father eventually found the collapsed girl and called the emergency services. According to the latest information, the child did not suffer any permanent physical damage.

The two perpetrators were expelled from the school to protect the other children. The school management will also investigate the complaint of bodily harm and failure to provide assistance. “Imitating challenges is not a game and at worst means injury to those involved, if not worse,” warns Donnke.

A spokesperson for the Department of Education explains in the Senate report that “this incident is now being dealt with within the school. Discussions are ongoing with everyone involved. ” Among other things, the emergency team was also called in.

A similar event in Kaiserslautern

According to reports from last week, a similar incident happened recently in Kaiserslautern with a female student who also fell unconscious. She was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The school contacted the police about the matter and they spoke with the students, said a spokesperson for the school management office.

Dangerous trends like the “black challenge” have been spreading on social networks for years. Since the Tiktok platform is popular with young people, he is the suspect. The spokesperson explains that this “worrying challenge” has been around longer than the platform and has never moved on Tiktok. Matching content and search terms are blocked on the platform.
