Austrian police have launched an investigation into the violent death of a 13-year-old girl in Vienna. Her body was found on the street in the Austrian capital on Saturday, leaning against a tree. The autopsy revealed that the girl had been strangled.
Her age was initially estimated by the police to be about 18 years old. Her description was circulated to find out her identity. Her parents then turned themselves in to the police. They identified their daughter today.
Police declined to comment further on the ongoing investigation.
