Chairman of the PSI DPP Ganesha’s sleigh offending his old self. Giring is ready to lay down and hand over the mandate of the general chairman to the PSI Advisory Council. Has Giring resigned from being the general chairman of PSI?
Giring made this statement in a video uploaded to his official Instagram, Tuesday (8/8/2023). Giring brought up the political upheavals involving PSI some time ago.
“How many days has there been a lot of commotion in politics. It’s okay. Yes, before an election it’s usually like this and hopefully this video will also make it more noisy,” said Giring Ganesha in the video which also shows footage Gerindra Chairman Prabowo Subianto visited the PSI headquarters some time ago.

The former Nidji band member admits that he remembers a scene from a Japanese manga, Naruto. He recounted the moment the two characters in the Manga asked what they really had to protect, to which the answer was the younger generation.
“On my 40th birthday, I remember a scene when Shikamaru played chess with Asuma. Shikamaru asked, in reality, who is the real king that we have to protect. What is the hokage? Are the elite shinobi? Asuma answered, the real king is the younger generation and this is what we have to protect even if we have to sacrifice our lives,” said Giring.
Giring then said that PSI was a forum for the younger generation. PSI wants to protect and provide opportunities for the younger generation to take part in politics so they don’t apply dowry politics. Giring is ready to fight for PSI to exist.
“So the reason PSI sticks to the anti-dowry and egalitarian principles is to give way to anyone who wants to participate actively in politics. So if you think about it, this is something that might be difficult to find in other parties,” said Giring.
Giring said he was ready to defend PSI. He then said he was ready to return the general chairman’s mandate to the board of directors because he felt he was getting old.
“I am ready to do anything to defend the Indonesian Solidarity Party and if possible, I have no problem laying down and handing over my mandate as general chairman of PSI back to the Board of Trustees and leave all decisions to them if indeed it can make PSI better and can be more have a positive impact on the people of Indonesia,” said Giring.
“Because I’m already old. So it’s time to return this party to the hands of its original owners, namely young people,” said Giring.
detikcom contacted PSI Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees Grace Natalie to confirm the meaning of the statement Important in the video. Grace said this was a form of Giring’s love.
“I think the message should be read as a statement of Giring’s great love for PSI,” said Grace.
