Second new face on CD Tenerife for the next season’s project. This time it is an open secret since the Tenerife club has made official the arrival of Giovanni Zarfino from Extremadura. The Spanish-Uruguayan footballer has executed a clause in his contract that allows him to go on loan this season to any First or Second Division club in the event that his home club does not play in these categories.
Giovanni Zarfino (Montevideo, 1981) is a forward who knows the category since, since the 17-18 season, he has played for the Extremadura club from which he comes. Previously, he was a member of Atlético Boston River in the Uruguayan capital to later join Danubio FC with which he participated in the Copa Sudamericana.
The Uruguayan striker will arrive on the island in the next few days to carry out the pertinent medical examination and later place himself under the command of Fran Fernández along with the rest of his new teammates.
