The New York Yankees defeated the Minnesota Twins 10-4 on Tuesday in the MLB, in a game that had the special ingredient of seeing Gio Urshela and Gary Sánchez facing their former teammates.
The Colombian spoke about his departure from the Bronx team and said that the team did not fulfill what they promised him.
“They told me I was going to play shortstop for them in the 2022 season and the next day I had a new team, it was very confusing for me,” Urshela told the New York Daily News.

“It’s going to be fun playing against my old teammates. A lot of memories and a lot of good times I had in New York the last three years. I always keep in mind the years I was in the Yankees. My best year in my career was with them, so that it will be fun to be able to play this series”, he concluded.
Gio Urshela had two hits in four at-bats and scored a run in the game.
The Twins traded Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Josh Donaldson to the Yankees for Gary Sánchez and Gio Urshela before the 2022 Major League season, in one of the biggest-impact moves on the market.
