Gio Urshela Placed on 10-Day Disabled List with Hamstring Strain: Detroit Tigers News

Gio Urshela suffered a hamstring strain and the Tigers placed him on the 10-day disabled list.

In a corresponding move, Detroit recalled third baseman Buddy Kennedy from Triple-A Toledo.

Urshela, 32, came out of the Tigers’ victory 5-4 over A Minnesota couple on Friday in the second inning after striking out and exiting the field. He later told reporters that he has a Grade 1 strain and could be out for two weeks.
