Le PDG de l’Atlético de Madrid, Miguel Angel Gil Marin, was elected member of the Executive Committee of the European Association of Clubs (ECA) and will be the only Spanish representative in this forum.
The European clubs, gathered at the ECA General Assembly in Geneva, have once again elected Gil Marin in this post, which he resigned after the announcement last April of the creation of the Super League, a project from which Atlético has withdrawn and in which Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus are still involved.
