Trash, bus and ORA upload

And what is it proposing? Among other things, an increase in the garbage collection fee, caused by the increase in prices of Cogersa treatments, of 3.60 euros per year, the price of the ordinary bus ticket amounts to 1.50 euros and changes in ORA fees to adapt them to the new mobility ordinance. And a novelty, they intend to recover the differentiated IBI of 0.55% for properties with a cadastral value greater than one and a half million euros. Nothing to do with the 0.79% that they proposed for 2020 for properties of more than one million euros.

ORA, four zones

In the case of the ORA, the Executive seeks to adapt it to the Mobility Ordinance. In the orange sectors -exclusive use for residents- the annual rate will be applied, in the green sectors -maximum parking time of two hours- a price of 1.25 euros per hour is set, in the blue ones 0.95 / hour and in the red ones between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., four euros / hour and between 1 and 8 p.m., 1.25 euros / hour.

For the residents’ rate, there are two categories: vehicles without an environmental badge or with a C or B badge will have an annual fee of 50 euros, while for those with a 0 or ECO badge it will be free. The special rate with badge 0 will be valid for the green or axules sectors and for the red sectors, from 1 to 8 p.m., it will cost 100 euros per year. Regarding the parking rate – that of Peritos and the Covadonga Hostel – a price of 0.95 euros / hour is established with a maximum of five euros while the daytime monthly subscription goes from 35 to 40 euros and the night from 45 to 50 euros.

Another novelty, included in the draft, is the electric bikes with an annual subscription of 35 euros that will entitle you to discounts on the use of these vehicles. With these increases, the Gijon municipality plans to enter 2.5 million euros, of which 460,000 euros with the called ‘IBI for the rich’. The meetings with the different political groups are now beginning, the first of them Citizens.
