The Roman actor and comedian is in intensive care unit of a well-known Roman clinic. The family, however, has decided to maintain the utmost confidentiality, avoiding to communicate further information. Already in 2010 he had been hospitalized at San Pietro in Rome following a very serious tachycardia. On that occasion he returned home after a few days and recovered. But the situation now really seems much more serious than it was then. From our editorial staff a message of strength and hope to his family and to him who made our cinema great.

The news came a few minutes ago, Gigi Proietti was admitted to intensive care for heart problems. The well-known Roman comedian had gone down in history for interpretations in films such as Steno’s Horse Fever. We had then seen him in numerous comic sketches on TV. Known as the king of laughter he is one of the greatest jokes in our country. The hope is that we can recover, trying to get out of a situation that the best informed describe as very serious.
