Known for his well-tailored style, Gigi Becali was the protagonist of an unforgettable moment during a visit to Zurich. It happened in November 2016, before a match between the local team and FCSB, which counted for the Europa League groups.

“Should I advise Gigi? They are stories. He dresses himself. I went with him to the shops in Zurich, Steaua was playing there. I was on the main street and I walked into a Brioni costume shop. He came in like at his house, I was smoking. They went crazy!
There were about three vendors and an older lady, I think she was the patron. They were talking to each other in French: «Qu’est-ce qu’il s’est passe? It’s smoking! Get them out!”.
Gigi went straight to the window and picked up a pair of shoes from the display. They were crocodile. That one caught fire: “Aaaaaa, touch the ornament, the exhibits!” I said to her: “Madame, calmez vous! I suggest you close the door for 10 minutes, a quarter of an hour. This man will make you more sales than you’ve had all week!”
She says: “But who are you?”. I told him: “You’ll see!”. She: “Do you want a coffee?”. She felt the flair of a merchant. He brought me a tray with coffee and an ashtray, he was walking after me and I was throwing the ash”, said Sălăgean in the Gazeta studio.
Becali bought for 80,000 euros: “They had 5 colors of shoes. He took them all!”

He took those shoes, tried one on and said: “How many colors do you have?”. They had about five colors. He took all five. He bought about 80,000. In the meantime, the tailor came down to hem his trousers.
