The launch of Nvidia’s RTX 40 series of graphics cards is approaching and Gigabyte appears to be well prepared with eleven different editions of the RTX 4090 registered with CEE.
Nvidia is expected to unveil its next-generation graphics architecture at the GTC, which begins on September 20. These speculations are now confirmed once again thanks to Gigabyte having registered the names of eleven different Geforce RTX 4090 models with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
Among the devices listed, we see, for example, the models of Gigabyte’s Aorus Xtreme Waterforce series up to the less expensive Windforce 3X series. These are therefore models whose cooling solutions range from three fans and probably not many more cooling fins and heat conducting tubes than is really needed. Up to units with pre-installed water blocks for self-built water cooling systems and units with associated enclosed water chillers.
The full list of Gigabyte registered devices reads as follows:
- RTX 4090 Aorus Xtreme Waterforce (GV-N4090AORUSX W-24GD)
- RTX 4090 Aorus Xtreme Waterblock (GV-N4090AORUSX WB-24GD)
- RTX 4090 Aorus Xtreme (GV-N4090AORUS X-24GD)
- RTX 4090 Aorus Master (GV-N4090AORUS M-24GD)
- RTX 4090 Aorus Elite (GV-N4090AORUS E-24GD)
- RTX 4090 Gaming OC (GV-N4090GAMING OC-24GD)
- RTX 4090 Gaming (GV-N4090GAMING-24GD)
- RTX 4090 Eagle OC (GV-N4090EAGLE OC-24GD)
- RTX 4090 Eagle (GV-N4090EAGLE-24GD)
- RTX 4090 Windforce 3X OC (GV-N4090WF3OC-24GD)
- RTX 4090 Windforce 3X (GV-N4090WF3-24GD)
Apart from the names of the graphics card variants and the amount of memory which appears to be up to 24 GB, unfortunately there is not much information to be found in the EEC document. It is also worth noting that Gigabyte is not guaranteed to launch all of these variants of the RTX 4090. When a company registers product names, it may be simply to protect product names in the areas covered by the registrations and not that the products will actually be launched.
If it turns out that Nvidia will indeed unveil its new architecture on September 20, hopefully it won’t be long before we see the actual designs Gigabyte and other partner manufacturers have created for the new devices.
