** To prevent overheating, Gigabyte recommends using the cooler that comes with the SSD or that is part of the motherboard.

The package should also include a robust passive cooler with a label M.2 Thermal Guard XTREME using heat-pipe technology, which the user may or may not use. However, the manufacturer requests that this SSD be operated in combination with some kind of cooler (for example, the one provided by the motherboard) so that performance does not decrease due to overheating (throttling).
