LHR stands for Lite Hash Rate, with Gigabyte after GALAX already the second AIB graphics card manufacturer NVIDIA to introduce new models with reduced performance in Etherea mining. At the same time, they should reach the first customers at this time, ie those who are interested in new graphics and would like to benefit from it, now they really have to sharpen, because LHR versions are already really coming to market. –

According to Gigabyte, these are GeForce RTX 3060 AORUS Master, Vision OC, Gaming OC or Eagle OC / Eagle cards, but gradually they should also be RTX 3080 and other cards from the Ampere family, perhaps up to the RTX 3090 itself.

Gigabyte simply states in its specifications that it is a Lite Hash Rate version of the card, which it does not explain further. After all, NVIDIA has given its manufacturers the freedom to decide how and whether they can label new versions of cards at all. It cannot be expected that the cards themselves in the new version will be somehow physically different from the old ones, and it may be more of a package on which the manufacturer may place a sticker indicating a reduced hashrate, if at least bother with it. The specifications of the cards also do not change in any way.
Of course, we will recognize new cards from the old ones, most certainly by verifying the GPU designation. In the case of the new versions of the RTX 3060, it will already bear the designation GA106-302 and the two at the end will mark the LHR version on other GeForce Ampere cards as well. Before purchasing, we may not even find out which version the seller will send us, which of course will only apply for a temporary period.
