The orchestra “Kremerata Baltica”, vibrophonist Andrejs Pushkarev and the orchestra’s resident artist, pianist Georgi Osokin will perform together with Maestro in Cesis. The special guest of the concert will be one of the most renowned bandoneonists in the world, Per Arne Glorvigens from Norway.
According to the concert organizers, Gidon Kremer and Astor Piacola, two influential 20th century musicians, met in 1996 when Kremer recorded the first tango master’s music album. The record was a huge success in the world of classical music, “taking Piacola’s work to a new level.”

The concert program in Cēsis will feature both Astora Piacola’s original compositions and arrangements, several of which belong to bandoneonist Per Arn Glorvigen, and “Kremerata Baltica” soloist, vibrophonist Andrei Pushkarev.
After the concert on November 20, Gidon Kremer and “Kremerata Baltica” will go on a tour of Europe with this program, performing it in Prague and Paris.
