Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, immediately moved quickly in responding to the public debate on the increase in illegal mining activities. Especially after the mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, also opened his voice regarding this illegal mining.
Indeed, Gibran did not hesitate to say that a series of illegal mines were supported by a terrible sum.
Ganjar today, Monday (28/11/2022), immediately held a coordination meeting with the regents and mayors to address the issue of illegal mining. Ganjar said Central Java regional leaders have agreed to set up a reporting desk to receive reports from the public.
Since that report, his party will not hesitate to directly check on the ground aka raids to root out the illegal mining that is increasingly worrying the community.
“I’ll just make a concrete suggestion, we’ll give you a mobile phone number to report, after which we’ll raid together,” he said during the coordination meeting, quoting a video he uploaded to his Twitter account @ganjarpranowo on Monday (11/28/ 2022).
At first, Ganjar asked members of the meeting which consisted of regents and mayors from all over Central Java: “Ladies and gentlemen, where areas have quarry C, is your life under pressure or not? Those who feel under pressure, raise your hand! you know, don’t be wedi.” (You don’t have to be afraid), later if you don’t, I will report it to the KPK, you know.”
Then, meeting members responded by raising their hands.
“Whoever hears that there is excavation C in their area is funny and it doesn’t matter, raise your hand!” Ganja said again.
However, he replied with no one daring to raise his hand.
“Well, you don’t dare, do you?” He continued.
“This cannot be done, the springs are missing, the road is damaged because the road is not a village road, yes it is a provincial road. Indeed, behind the excavation C there are contents of “Gali” (hooligans)” He said explained.
Then, he also alluded to the statement by the mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who had said that support for illegal mining was terrible.
“So if yesterday the mayor of Solo shouted loudly: ‘Wow, this is scary support’, wow netizens then shouted, then today’s forum, in my opinion, is important,” he continued.
“I’ll just give a concrete suggestion, we’ll give you a mobile phone number to report, after which we’ll raid together. We’ll give you a deadline, my job at ESDM is to assist, ESDM’s job at the Regency/City has to do some sort of whitening and we will find a way out, we dare not open, we fix it, how come our people need it, I guess the exploited area is the advancing village because it will get a backlash, what is the backlash?legal.Without that come to pass, this will be repeated over and over again and will never be finished. But of course we can’t close the set, we have to prepare for the transition, the transformation, the education. We have a nawaitu, good intentions to organize, not to complicate the things, but to make all of this sorted out. We hope it’s to your benefit and we’ll all be happy after we come back through that door (pointing to the exit of the room).”
Earlier, Sola Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka suddenly said that a number of illegal mines were backed by a terrible figure.
He spoke about it by responding to a message from a netizen on social media Twitter. Netizen with account name Mr Agus @amr715882 asked him to convey a message to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to take action against illegal sand mining in Klaten Regency.
In fact, these netizens said that there are illegal mines in more than 20 tracking points. But unfortunately, this condition continues to be left. These netizens didn’t even hesitate to hit President Jokowi’s account @jokowi and also mentioned National Police Chief @ListyoSigitP’s account and also Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo @ganjarpranowo.
“Mas… go to Pak @jokowi to take action against illegal mining market in kb.klaten, more than 20 tracking points… but let it be. @ListyoSigitP @ganjarpranowo.” wrote Mr Agus’s account on Twitter, last November 27, 2022.
So, this message was immediately answered by Gibran. Gibran replied, “Yes, sir. This regent also complained to me several times. His support was horrified.”
