Requirements file Gibran Rakabuming as a running mate for vice president (cawapres). Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 presidential election, apparently it has been completely prepared.
“It’s ready,” said a CNNIndonesia.com source who is a senior official of one of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition parties, Friday (20/10).
The files in question are the files needed to be submitted to the General Election Commission (KPU) later.
However, the source stated that the announcement of Gibran as vice presidential candidate was still being prepared and it was not certain when it would be announced, either Saturday (21/10) or Sunday (22/10).
However, he confirmed that so far Gibran’s name has been identified as Prabowo’s vice presidential candidate.
Gibran was seen leaving for Jakarta on Friday (20/10) afternoon amid rumors that he would become Prabowo’s vice presidential candidate.
According to CNNIndonesia.com sources in Semarang, Gibran had departed from Semarang using Batik Air with number IS 7558. The plane landed at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, Jakarta.
This was also confirmed by the Chairman of the Solo Gerindra Party DPC, Ardianto Kuswinarno. However, he admitted that he did not know what Gibran’s activities were in Jakarta.
The Advanced Indonesia Coalition supporting Prabowo Subianto is also scheduled to hold a meeting tonight, Saturday (21/10) to discuss Prabowo’s vice presidential candidate.
PAN General Chairman Zulkifli Hasan arrived home early from Saudi Arabia. He left the presidential entourage which was still active in Saudi Arabia until the following day.
Gerindra Party Secretary General Ahmad Muzani confirmed that Prabowo’s companion would soon be determined. Muzani said that the name of Prabowo’s vice presidential candidate was discussed with the general chairs.
“Hopefully it won’t be a day or two, just hours. Hopefully,” said Gerindra Secretary General Ahmad Muzani as reported by Antara, Wednesday (18/10).
However, until now, there has been no statement from Gibran regarding his increasingly narrowed name as Prabowo’s vice presidential candidate.
Another name being predicted to be Prabowo’s vice presidential candidate is BUMN Minister Erick Thohir. He had previously also taken care of the SKCK as a condition for registering as a vice presidential candidate.
Erick also reportedly accelerated his overseas visit before Prabowo’s cawapres declaration.
