It went viral that Bulog rice had candidate pair 02 stickers attached to it Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka. Gibran said he would follow up on the viral photo.
“Where is it? Where is it, I’ll take care of it later,” said Gibran, as quoted detikJateng at De Tjolomadoe, Thursday (25/1/2024).
Gibran said he would find out about the Bulog rice which had candidate pair 02 stickers attached to it. He emphasized that his party had never distributed rice.
“Okay, I’ll look for it later,” said Gibran. He emphasized that his party had never distributed rice.
“(Are there directions for distributing rice?) No, no, you can’t give rice, then (I) won’t follow up, okay? Tell me where you are, I’ll come there later,” he said.
Previously, a viral photo of Perum Bulog rice with candidate pair 02 stickers was circulating on social media X. The rice with SPHP written on it was covered with candidate pair 02 stickers.
Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto confirmed that none of the Bulog rice social assistance from the government had the sticker attached.
“It is certain that there are none (with Prabowo-Gibran stickers),” said Airlangga to journalists in Bekasi, West Java (Jabar), Thursday (25/1).
Airlangga said that all social assistance is a government program. However, he emphasized that none of the candidates’ programs used government social assistance.
“All of the social assistance is a government program. There is no program for any of the candidate pairs that uses the government’s social assistance, none,” he explained.
Explanation from the Director of Bulog
Main Director of Perum Bulog, Bayu Krisnamurthi, said that SPHP rice is available everywhere, so anyone can buy it. Bayu said the rice had been distributed to the community and Bulog no longer regulated what the rice would be used for.
“SPHP rice is available everywhere, in markets, in minimarkets. It is very easy for anyone to get SPHP rice,” he said in his statement to detikcom, Thursday (25/1/2024).
“After the rice is bought by the people, Bulog cannot regulate what the people will do with the rice. There are no political attributes from Bulog,” he said.
