Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka and his younger brother, Kaesang Pangarep, were reported to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) by Jakarta State University (UNJ) lecturer, Ubedillah Badrun. Gibran claimed to have communicated with Kaesang regarding the report.
“Uwis (already communicated),” said Gibran briefly when met by reporters at Solo City Hall, Tuesday (11/1/2022).
However, Gibran did not explain in detail the results of the communication with his youngest brother.
On that occasion, Gibran invited the complainant to provide evidence for his accusation. He himself is ready to be examined. In fact, he is also ready to be arrested if he is proven guilty.
“The report is in, right? Just check it. If I’m wrong, hold on (if I’m wrong, catch me) this very second,” he said.
Previously reported, UNJ lecturer Ubedillah Badrun reported two sons of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Kaesang Pangarep to the KPK regarding allegations of corruption and money laundering.
In his report, Ubedillah also referred to himself as a student activist for the ’98 reforms. In addition, Ubedillah included documents explaining his allegations. He related that the PT BMH company owned by the PT SM business group was involved in a forest fire case but the handling of the case was not clear.
Then on the other hand, the business group called Ubedillah invested in companies owned by Kaesang and Gibran. Ubedillah also linked the business affair with a company case whose legal investigation was unclear due to a conflict of interest.
In addition, he linked him to a figure associated with the business group who became the Indonesian ambassador.
