Vice presidential candidate number 2, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, applied for leave of duty as Mayor of Solo on Monday, December 4. Gibran will campaign as vice presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto.
“I’m going home tomorrow, I only have Monday off,” said Gibran to journalists in the Senen area, Central Jakarta, Sunday (3/12/2023).
Gibran said that after the campaign, tomorrow he would immediately return to Solo. He will continue his work as Mayor of Solo.
“So Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, come in and meet again and you can still apply for the job as mayor,” he said.
It is known that the 2024 presidential election campaign will start from November 28 2023 to February 10 2024. The campaign will be held for 75 days.
Then from February 11 2024 to February 13 2024 a period of calm will enter, so that presidential and vice presidential candidates are no longer allowed to campaign. Voting will be held February 14, 2024.
