Vice presidential candidate number 2 Gibran Rakabuming Raka ensured that the development of the National Capital City (IKN) of the Archipelago would improve the economy, especially in Kaimanyan. Apart from that, it can also open up employment opportunities.
“What is clear is that with the development of IKN, economic growth, especially in Kalimantan, will increase. Connectivity and access will be open, and later we will continue to push for this so that IKN can open up job opportunities. Do you all agree, ladies and gentlemen?” said Gibran at the ‘East Kalimantan Moves’ event at the Balikpapan Sport and Convention Center, East Kalimantan, Saturday (16/12/2023).
Gibran also expressed his gratitude to the people of Kalimantan who have supported the development of IKN. He asked that IKN development be supervised together.
“So ladies and gentlemen, thank you very much for your support, for IKN. Please let us guard it together,” he said.
“Basically, IKN must continue,” he added.
Apart from that, Gibran also advised volunteers, supporters and the Regional Campaign Team (TKD) not to respond if there is slander or sarcasm. He asked to remain focused until election day, February 14 2024.
“I also order ladies and gentlemen, TKD coalition parties in Balikpapan. Friends of volunteers, friends of young people, friends of millennials, Gen Z, I ask that if there is sarcasm, if there is slander, there is no need to respond. No “We need to respond to slander for slander. Basically, let’s just relax and stay focused until we win on February 14,” he said.
Gibran also talked about the importance of the creative economy of young people. For this reason, he invited a number of influencers when he visited the Indonesian Capital City (IKN).
“That’s why I also invited my influencer friends, YouTuber friends, to come visit IKN. Because after all, in the future, these young people will master the creative economy,” he said.
The event was attended by the leadership of the Balikpapan Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) political party. Apart from that, several influencers, including YouTubers, were also present.
