Vice Chairman TKN Prabowo-GibranHabiburokhman, admitted that he was nervous about his vice presidential candidate, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, facing last night’s vice presidential debate. Because, he admitted that he didn’t really know Gibran.
“To be honest, I don’t really know Mas Gibran personally. Before yesterday’s debate, I was a bit nervous, right?” said Habiburokhman in a discussion entitled ‘Dynamic 2024 Presidential Election, One Logical Turn?’ in the Bangka area, South Jakarta, Saturday (23/12/2023).
Habiburokhman said he had asked Gibran’s team who were in Solo about the personality of the Mayor of Solo. However, he found the answer that Gibran was very talkative.
“I asked the Solo team, ‘Is this, Mas Gibran, what do we need to coach, do we need coaching and so on?’ “In Solo, yes, he rarely speaks, bro. Wow, he said he rarely speaks. It’s like his father rarely speaks,” said Habiburokhman.
Because of this, the Member of Commission III DPR RI also had doubts about Gibran facing the 2024 presidential election debate. However, he said, these doubts were answered during the debate last night.
“And there were several moments when Mas Gibran spoke very briefly, we were a bit nervous at first, like ‘oh, maybe Mas Gibran can’t talk long’, it turned out his performance was extraordinary last night,” he said.
Habiburokhman then touched on parties who underestimated Gibran. On the same occasion, he also said that vice presidential candidate number 1, Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin, had made a mistake in his presentation.
“In fact, this is the second debate which was previously under estimated ‘samsul lah’, various questions about spelling mistakes. It is said that Gus Muhaimin also said it incorrectly, he meant fourteen, 14 new cities which was conveyed by Mr Anis previously, it turns out that what was conveyed was forty “40 new cities. Well, that’s a matter of calling it that, right? 14 becomes 40, wow, this is really serious,” he said.
“So it doesn’t matter, that’s why we shouldn’t criticize people easily, let alone giving them derisive nicknames and so on, even though in politics we are afraid of it being reversed by Allah, you know, not those who insult people,” he concluded.
