Giants Togo Togo enjoys beer for the first time “I think it will irritate my skin, but I’m done with it.” Drinking carbonated water at age 19 in 2019 – Sponichi Annex Baseball

The Giants won the crowded Premier League, winning the league for the first time in four years from 2020 and for the 39th time (48th time including the 1st league period). Pitcher Togo Togo (24) was very happy to pour beer for the first time.

“It was good because everyone supported me,” said the southpaw, looking back on the season. After drinking his long-awaited first beer, he said with a big smile on his face, ”I thought it would irritate my skin, but I thought it was enough.” His companions poured beer on him, and he was happy. I was mesmerized by the deliciousness.

When asked about his enthusiasm for the postseason, he answered matter-of-factly, “We have a lot of work to do to be number one in Japan,” and then shouted e, “We will work as a team to win.”

When he won in 2019, he was 19 years old and in his first year out of high school. He was present at the victory ceremony with a sign around his neck saying, “I’m a little man, please don’t drink alcohol!”
