What’s more incredible than having a giant pair of Vans strolling the streets of New York? The famous shoe brand has collaborated with the creative agency GUT Los Angeles and does not go unnoticed!
An extraordinary launch?
For the release of its brand new Vans MTE™ collection, the famous action sports and exploration brand has decided to put the plates (feet?) in the big ones. A pair of 10-foot-high shoe-shaped Vans Sk8-Hi MTE-3 vehicles roam the Streets of NYC. Their goals? Prove that a pair of Vans remains formidable in the face of bad weather.
For the occasion, the brand called upon very popular influencers: Nico of New York (1 million Instagram followers) e Lil Mo Mozzarella (267k Instagram followers). Their goal? Participate in this “New York Walk”, talks about the latest Vans MTE™ collection and encourages locals to give them a try. Icing on the cake? Couples were even offered on the course.
“Sometimes the simplest ideas are the most effective. When you have a creative brand like Vans and a product built for the elements, what better way to show that the latest MTEs are here than by literally taking a pair through the streets of New York.” says Bruno Acanfora, executive creative director of GUT Los Angeles.
Vans vans down to the last detail
This pair of motorized Sk8-Hi MTE-3s has not gone unnoticed, both in terms of size and details. Indeed, the famous vehicles sported the elements of the real pair of shoes, inside and out. Each van had the brand’s signature checkerboard design, and the interior felt as cozy as the original sneakers. Reference to the fact that whatever the weather, Vans MTE™ will always be a safe bet wherever you go.
