NEW YORK – The pumpkins arriving at the New York Botanical Garden (NYBG) will really catch the eye of all visitors.
The botanical garden has been celebrating fall with the Great Pumpkin Path, a path filled with different pumpkins and flowers of the season, which began earlier this month. However, on Saturday, giant pumpkins, some of which are the largest in the world, will arrive at the NYBG, where they will be on display until November 1.
These massive pumpkins, some weighing over 2,000 pounds, have been grown and brought to the garden in collaboration with the Great Pumpkin Commonwealth.
Visitors to the NYBG must adhere to COVID-19 safety guidelines. The new limited-hour ticketing system staggers visitor arrivals, promotes social distancing and avoids crowding in high-traffic areas. Advance purchase of scheduled tickets is required. Visitors who do not purchase tickets in advance will not be guaranteed entry. For more information and to buy tickets, Click here.
The security guidelines implemented by NYBG are not just for visitors. The new measures include requiring that staff and visitors over the age of two wear masks; increase cleaning and disinfection of public areas and staff; daily health exams for staff; support hygiene and social distancing practices; requiring scheduled entry tickets purchased in advance and operating at reduced capacity, among other guidelines.
