Giant will permanently close all its outlets on July 31, 2021. Ahead of the outlet closure, one of the Giant BSD outlets, South Tangerang, was full of visitors.
Monitoring detikcom at the location, Wednesday (26/5/2021), there were lots of visitors coming to Giant BSD. In fact, there was a long queue at the cashier that reached about a dozen meters.
Even though all cashiers were opened, long lines continued. At each cashier, there are at least 10 to 15 people lining up to make payments.

Towards permanent closure, Giant BSD also provides various discounts to visitors. This can be seen from the many words ‘BIG SALE’ on the various shelves available.
The shelves filled with a variety of products ranging from electronic devices, food, drinks, to bath and beauty necessities looked excited with the discount writings.
One visitor named Tami admitted shopping at Giant after finding out that the retail would be permanently closed. He hopes that there will be a discount provided by Giant.
“Actually, I shop here every month. Then yesterday I heard the info that he said he wanted to close, so come straight here (Giant) again … and really, there are lots of big discounts here, “said Tami to detikcom.
