This is the second time the 2007 FFI asteroid has approached Earth since it was first discovered in March 2007. In August 2020, the asteroid reached its furthest point at a distance of 17.3 million km from Earth and hurtled at a speed of 47,950 km/hour. The asteroid 2007 FFI will return to Earth on April 2, 2037 with a distance of about 7.9 million km.
